About the name "Mary's Place"

Ministry Assumptions

Maps to Deer Ridge

Mission: The mission of Mary’s Place is to provide ideal opportunities for Christians to reorient their lives around the priority of prayer and the Word of God.

Vision: We envision thousands of churches with prayer at the center, influencing the church-at-large and leading to widespread revival and release of workers into the harvest.

Strategic Priority: To realize our mission, we primarily focus on helping pastoral couples reorient their lives around prayer and the Word of God to become true spiritual leaders. In turn they will lead their people to Mary’s place, and this will revolutionize the church. We are especially interested in serving pastoral teams from small churches, believing that small churches have great worth and potential for revival.

Operational Principle: The ideal opportunity we create must entail minimal cost and maximal support to enable each participant to make a permanent lifestyle choice. (SeeCreating Ideal Opportunities” )

Basic Methods:

  • SIX-DAY ALL-EXPENSE PAID RETREATS -- We provide an extended time in a “get-a-away” residence at a location where participants are offered the beauty of nature and solitude, hospitality, ample privacy, prayer, spiritual conversation and support, and practical resources necessary for the process of life reorientation.

  • INSPIRATIONAL SEMINARS -- We inspire Christians and churches to pursue a prayer-centered life of true discipleship through presenting seminars and instructional sermons in varieties of large group events: spiritual life weekends, men's and women's retreats, pastor/spouse retreats, family camps, college chapel programs, and missions training events.

  • SABBATICAL OPPORTUNITIES -- We provide low-cost or free-of-charge, extended-stay accommodations for any person in ministry who needs time away for study, prayer, writing or other projects -- even recuperation. Sabbatical periods can be for as long as several weeks, depending on availability.

  • RESOURCES -- We offer an array of materials for encouragement and guidance in developing prayer-centered lives and prayer-centered churches. Many of these materials are available through our publishing house, Mary's Place Publishing.

Disclaimer:  We are not a ministry designed to provide counseling for ministers in personal crisis.
