Preparation Phase

About two months in advance of a participants arrival at Mary’s Place we begin to help them get prepared for their week on-site. The idea is to maximize the benefit of their week-long Mary’s Place experience by giving an advance opportunity to position and focus themselves on the issues they will work through while here.

Personal preparation
x Free books on prayer shipped direct to our participants home
x Preparatory questionnaire
x Advance review of the Life–Reorientation plan they will engage in at Mary’s Place

Church preparation (to help pastoral couples sense the support of their congregation)
x Three-stage information process to enlist congregational encouragement, appreciation and prayer support
x Identify and enlist the “advocacy” of 4-6 supportive congregational members who cheerlead on behalf of the pastoral couple.
